New York Giants report card: How we graded Big Blue in Week 11 loss
The New York Giants had high hopes going into their Week 11 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. With a record of 6-3 and sitting atop the NFC East, the Giants were looking to solidify their position as a playoff contender. However, things did not go according to plan as they fell to the Packers by a score of 27-20.
The game started off on the wrong foot for the Giants as they struggled to get anything going on offense. Quarterback Daniel Jones had a tough day, completing just 22 of 37 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception and was sacked three times. The running game was also non-existent, with Wayne Gallman rushing for just 34 yards on 12 carries.
The defense did not fare much better, as they allowed Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to throw for 243 yards and four touchdowns. The Giants struggled to generate any pressure on Rodgers, recording just one sack and one quarterback hit. The secondary also had a rough day, as they allowed several big plays down the field.

The offense struggled to get anything going against a tough Packers defense. Jones had a tough day, struggling to find open receivers and making some questionable decisions with the football. Overall, it was a lackluster performance from the offense.
Defense: D
The defense had a tough day against the Packers offense. They struggled to generate any pressure on Rodgers, allowing him to pick apart the secondary with ease. The linebackers also had a tough day, as they struggled to contain the Packers’ running game and were often out of position in coverage. The secondary had a rough day, allowing several big plays down the field. Overall, it was a disappointing performance from the defense.
Special Teams: B
The special teams unit had a decent day, with kicker Graham Gano converting both of his field goal attempts and punter Riley Dixon averaging over 45 yards per punt. The return game was also solid, with Jabrill Peppers averaging over 25 yards per kickoff return. Overall, it was a solid performance from the special teams unit.
Coaching: C-
Head coach Joe Judge and his staff had a tough day against the Packers. The game plan seemed to be lacking creativity on offense, as they struggled to get anything going against a tough Packers defense. The defense also seemed unprepared for Rodgers and the Packers’ high-powered offense. Overall, it was a lackluster performance from the coaching staff.
Overall, it was a disappointing performance for the Giants. They will need to regroup and bounce back in Week 12 if they want to remain in the playoff hunt. With a tough schedule ahead, including games against the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, the Giants will need to play much better if they want to secure a playoff spot.
